Family Therapy
The Whole is Greater than the Sum of its Parts

What is it?
Families are complex systems, and when one person is struggling, it often affects everyone. Family therapy provides a supportive space for family members to come together, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address challenges as a team.
In family therapy, I work with families to better understand patterns of interaction, roles, and emotional dynamics that may be contributing to stress or conflict. Rather than focusing on blame, we focus on connection—helping family members hear one another, express needs more clearly, and develop healthier ways of relating.

Who is it for?
Family therapy can be helpful for a wide range of concerns, including:
-
Ongoing conflict or communication difficulties
-
Parenting challenges or co-parenting concerns
-
Life transitions such as divorce, blending families, or relocation
-
Behavioral or emotional concerns in children or adolescents
-
Grief, loss, or trauma affecting the family system
-
Strained relationships between parents and children or siblings

My Approach
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your family’s unique needs, values, and goals. At times, we may meet with the whole family together, and at other times with subsets of the family, depending on what is most helpful and appropriate.
My approach to family therapy is grounded in respect, empathy, and cultural humility. I strive to create a safe, inclusive environment where each family member feels heard and valued. Together, we work to strengthen emotional bonds, increase understanding, and support lasting change that benefits the entire family.
